We are proud to announce that the medical team of Crete Fertility Centre has once again succeeded in publishing a new journal article.
The title of the article is “Intra-Ovarian Platelet-Rich Plasma Injections: Single-Centre Experience” and is published on SunKrist Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology Research.
Briefly, we conducted a study on women who were over age 35 with at least one ovary with a history of infertility, hormonal abnormalities, absence of menstrual cycle and premature ovarian failure. After PRP, 9.49% women became pregnant. The results of our observational study revealed that PRP intra-οvarian injection is associated with improved function of ovarian tissue. Future further randomized clinical trials in this field are needed to shed light in the use of PRP in Ovarian Rejuvenation.
The research work has been carried out by the director of the clinic, Dr Fraidakis Matthaios, and the team members Anifantaki Aliki, Skouradaki Meltini, Tsakoumi Vivi, Bitzopoulou Popi, Prombona Nefeli and Kakouri Persefoni and is a proof of the continuous state-of-the-art solutions Crete Fertility Centre offers.
