Les tests g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques et l&rsquo;extraction de cellules de type biopsie \u00e0 partir d&rsquo;un embryon sont les m\u00e9thodes actuelles de d\u00e9tection de la maladie ; ces proc\u00e9dures sont invasives et co\u00fbteuses pour celles qui subissent une f\u00e9condation in vitro.<\/p>\n<h2>Algorithme d&rsquo;IA pour pr\u00e9dire l&rsquo;aneuplo\u00efdie<\/h2>\n<p>Les chercheurs ont entrepris de cr\u00e9er un algorithme d\u2019IA qui pourrait aider \u00e0 pr\u00e9dire l\u2019aneuplo\u00efdie tout en \u00e9vitant les limites des techniques de test conventionnelles afin de r\u00e9soudre ces probl\u00e8mes. Selon une \u00e9tude r\u00e9cemment publi\u00e9e, leur outil, STORK-A, y parvient en \u00e9valuant les images microscopiques de l&#8217;embryon, les donn\u00e9es concernant l&rsquo;\u00e2ge de la m\u00e8re et l&rsquo;\u00e9valuation de l&rsquo;apparence de l&#8217;embryon par la clinique de FIV.<\/p>\n<p>Selon l&rsquo;auteur principal de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude, \u00ab\u00a0notre objectif est de pouvoir \u00e0 terme pr\u00e9dire l&rsquo;aneuplo\u00efdie de mani\u00e8re totalement non invasive, en utilisant des techniques d&rsquo;intelligence artificielle et de vision par ordinateur\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<h2>Le processus de d\u00e9veloppement<\/h2>\n<p>Les travaux ant\u00e9rieurs des chercheurs dans ce domaine sont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s par le nouvel algorithme. L\u2019\u00e9quipe de recherche a cr\u00e9\u00e9 STORK en 2019, une m\u00e9thode d\u2019IA capable d\u2019\u00e9valuer la qualit\u00e9 des embryons au m\u00eame niveau que celle du personnel travaillant dans les cliniques de FIV.<\/p>\n<h2>Comment \u00e7a fonctionne<\/h2>\n<p>Le test g\u00e9n\u00e9tique pr\u00e9implantatoire pour l&rsquo;aneuplo\u00efdie (PGT-A) est une m\u00e9thode de biopsie utilis\u00e9e pour obtenir des informations sur les chromosomes d&rsquo;un embryon. STORK-A s&rsquo;appuie sur cela en utilisant des images au microscope d&#8217;embryons prises cinq jours apr\u00e8s la f\u00e9condation, l&rsquo;\u00e9valuation par le personnel clinique de la qualit\u00e9 des embryons, de l&rsquo;\u00e2ge maternel et d&rsquo;autres informations g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement recueillies dans le cadre du processus de FIV pour am\u00e9liorer l&rsquo;utilisation du PGT-A.<\/p>\n<h2>Performances et formation<\/h2>\n<p>Selon le communiqu\u00e9 de presse, STORK-A pourrait devenir un outil viable pour d\u00e9terminer quels embryons doivent subir un test PGT-A ou s&rsquo;il convient de supprimer compl\u00e8tement le PGT-A en combinant ces nouvelles donn\u00e9es et l&rsquo;IA.<\/p>\n<p>Un ensemble de donn\u00e9es de 10 378 blastocystes dont le statut de plo\u00efdie \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 connu a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 pour entra\u00eener l\u2019algorithme. Par la suite, sa pr\u00e9cision dans la distinction entre les embryons euplo\u00efdes et \u00ab euplo\u00efdes \u00bb dot\u00e9s de chromosomes normaux a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9valu\u00e9e. STORK-A a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 une pr\u00e9cision de 69,3 pour cent pour cette t\u00e2che.<\/p>\n<p>De plus, les chercheurs ont d\u00e9couvert que la pr\u00e9cision de l&rsquo;outil dans la pr\u00e9vision de l&rsquo;aneuplo\u00efdie complexe, une forme d&rsquo;aneuplo\u00efdie impliquant plusieurs chromosomes, contrairement \u00e0 l&rsquo;euplo\u00efdie, \u00e9tait de 77,6 %.<\/p>\n<p>Selon le communiqu\u00e9 de presse, l\u2019\u00e9tude propose une preuve de concept d\u2019approche exp\u00e9rimentale.<\/p>\n<h2>Pr\u00e9visions futures et son r\u00f4le dans les soins de sant\u00e9<\/h2>\n<p>Ceci n\u2019est qu\u2019une autre excellente illustration de la fa\u00e7on dont l\u2019IA pourrait changer les soins de sant\u00e9. Selon le communiqu\u00e9 de presse du co-auteur de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude, \u00ab l&rsquo;algorithme transforme des dizaines de milliers d&rsquo;images d&#8217;embryons en mod\u00e8les d&rsquo;IA qui pourraient \u00e0 terme \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour am\u00e9liorer l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 de la FIV et d\u00e9mocratiser davantage l&rsquo;acc\u00e8s en r\u00e9duisant les co\u00fbts \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019avenir, les chercheurs esp\u00e8rent approfondir ces travaux en cr\u00e9ant des algorithmes form\u00e9s sur des films de d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019embryons. En utilisant \u00e0 la fois des informations spatiales et temporelles, ces algorithmes pourraient \u00eatre en mesure d\u2019identifier l\u2019aneuplo\u00efdie avec encore plus de pr\u00e9cision.<br \/>\n\u00ab\u00a0Nous pensons qu&rsquo;en fin de compte, avec cette technologie, nous pouvons diminuer la quantit\u00e9 d&#8217;embryons qui doivent \u00eatre biopsi\u00e9s, r\u00e9duire les d\u00e9penses et offrir un tr\u00e8s bon outil de consultation aux patients lorsqu&rsquo;ils doivent prendre une d\u00e9cision concernant la r\u00e9alisation d&rsquo;un DPI. -A ou pas\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 dans le communiqu\u00e9 le professeur agr\u00e9g\u00e9 d&#8217;embryologie en obst\u00e9trique et gyn\u00e9cologie clinique.<\/p>\n<h2>Conclusion<\/h2>\n<p>Il s\u2019agit de la tentative la plus r\u00e9cente d\u2019utiliser l\u2019IA pour am\u00e9liorer la FIV. L\u2019ann\u00e9e 2020 a vu la d\u00e9monstration par des chercheurs d\u2019un syst\u00e8me d\u2019apprentissage profond capable de s\u00e9lectionner, avec une pr\u00e9cision de 90 %, les embryons de la meilleure qualit\u00e9 pour la f\u00e9condation in vitro \u00e0 partir d\u2019un ensemble de donn\u00e9es d\u2019images prises de 742 embryons 113 heures apr\u00e8s l\u2019ins\u00e9mination.<\/p>\n<p>Les performances de l&rsquo;outil ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 compar\u00e9es \u00e0 celles de quinze embryologistes de cinq centres de fertilit\u00e9 am\u00e9ricains. Lors de l&rsquo;\u00e9valuation, le mod\u00e8le a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 une pr\u00e9cision d&rsquo;environ 75 %, tandis que les embryologistes ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 une pr\u00e9cision moyenne de 67
